Outerwear as authority was the focus of Part I. The statement coat, the dramatic trench, and the upgraded leather jacket are three pieces that instantly accentuate your presence without making you a trend-setter. The true wardrobe makeover occurs in Part II, where you'll find the silhouettes, colour schemes, and everyday essentials that will transform you from "stuck in black" to put together, self-assured, and modern. Starting with Trend #4, we're talking about volume done right because bold shapes are making a comeback in 2026, and when you style them purposefully, they elevate rather than overwhelm.
4) Harem (balloon or parachute) Pants: Modern Volume Done Right
Yes—volume is back. But the key is balance.
The rule
If you add volume on the bottom, you need structure on top:
fitted knit - not tight
structured blazer hitting at the hips
clean turtleneck - with added volume
shirt with movement - do add shoulder pads - very 80's

Action step: Try your balloon/volume trousers with a sharper top. If it looks sloppy, it’s not the pants—it’s the lack of structure.
5) Pop, Pop, Pop of Colour (Even If You’re Stuck in Black)
If you’ve been living in black, 2026 is your year to expand—without becoming “too trendy.”
“I actually think that the trend of injecting colour is going to be far more powerful in 2026.”
The easiest way to start
Choose one:
a bold knit
a powerful blouse
a structured bag
a statement shoe

Then keep the rest neutral, now, if this idea is considered bold for you. Personally, I would then recommend the bold colour and match it with the same shade, albeit soft.
Action step: Pick one “power colour” and use it like a signature. You’re not changing your personality, you’re upgrading your visibility.
6) Dark Indigo Denim: The Smartest “Casual” Upgrade
Dark denim is one of the most flattering and versatile moves you can make in 2026. It gives denim a more polished, “dressed” energy.
Wear it like this
Dark denim + blazer + belt = boardroom-ready casual
Dark denim + knit + coat = elevated everyday
Dark denim + heel/boot = length and authority

Action step: If you own only one pair of jeans, make it dark indigo. It’s the easiest way to look sharper without trying harder.
Want Help Putting This Into Action?
If this sounds like exactly what you need, but you still feel unsure where to start, here are three ways to work with support:
MONTHLY WORKSHOP: learn your style, body shape, and colours
MONTHLY STYLE MEMBERSHIP: build your wardrobe gradually within your budget (strategic pieces, month by month)
STYLE MAINTENANCE SVC (turnkey wardrobe branding): for women who want the complete solution and long-term transformation
The power trio for Part II is dark indigo denim, strategic colour, and contemporary volume pants, three styles that not only look trendy but also address practical wardrobe issues.
This is your permission to intentionally update your look if you've felt constrained by black or "safe" attire: use colour as a confidence tool rather than a costume, balance volume and structure, and make dark denim your polished, go-to base.
Printed scarves and headscarves, cape-like silhouettes, deliberate layering, and 80s tailoring are some of the finishing touches that make all the difference. In Part III, I'll also show you how to "put it into action" so you can shop with a plan, create outfits fast, and finally stop second-guessing your choices. Look forward to Part III. - Stay stylish - Sandra
